Niki Terzieff

Leading Edge Public Affairs
Founder, Nicholina Terzieff, has been able to distill the secrets of success through hard work, smart approaches and strong relationships over the last decade.  They culminate in the 3 guiding principles on which she built this firm.

VISION: looking ahead to the ideal outcome and strategically crafting the road map to success
INNOVATION: knowing what information truly matters and how and when to apply it the most effectively
EXCELLENCE: performing with integrity, honesty and the level of high professional service you deserve
Spotlight:

Vision, Innovation & Excellence
President
In 2004, Terzieff began directing campaigns resulting in several successful bids to the House of Representatives, including two highly targeted races. Since then, she has been sought out by some of the hottest challengers in recent memory. These include Ron Maurer for Superintendent of Public Instruction and several metro area municipal level candidates. In the 2008 election cycle, Niki was U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley's Oregon Finance Director, breaking fundraising records in the state of Oregon. More recently, in both the 2010 and 2014 campaign cycles, Niki directed fundraising events for Governor Kitzhaber, resulting in an unprecedented third term. In a relatively short time, Niki has developed a network of direct contacts to today's and tomorrow's leaders.

Over the last decade, Terzieff has been a growing force in Salem by shaping, negotiating, and passing legislation on behalf of a broad spectrum of clients and perspectives. She began her legislative career in 2005 as Chief of Staff and Policy Advisor for former Majority Leader Mary Nolan. In early 2007, Terzieff was hired by a premiere public policy and advocacy firm in Salem. For the past 6 years at The Tresidder Company and then at Strategies 360-Oregon, Niki advocated as an independent lobbyist on a wide range of issues. She has built a solid foundation for success in the healthcare and public safety sectors, working issues from all sides. Additionally, during each legislative session Niki has effectively engaged with all issue and policy areas on behalf of clients within the education, energy, local government, business and non-profit sectors.

As a result of her experiences, relationships, talents and tenacity, Terzieff has amassed a rather impressive list of past legislative successes. This leading portfolio includes winning a direct allocation of $150,000 in state funds for a client in the midst of a $3.5 billion deficit; passing two state level economic incentive programs to spur revitalization in low-income census areas and beyond; maintaining full-funding for direct services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence when other safety net programs suffered deep cuts; and defeating a bill during the short session that would have complicated access to prescriptions for patients in Oregon. Leading Edge Public Affairs, under the strong leadership of Niki Terzieff, is poised for more success.
As President of Leading Edge Public Affairs, Niki Terzieff draws upon a decade of experience in Oregon politics- both policy work and on the campaign trail. Her campaign career helped to shape the current landscape and resulted in long-standing relationships with caucus leaders in both parties and both chambers.

"Niki Terzieff did a great job for us. She has excellent relationships with elected officials, thinks strategically, and is thorough in her execution of that strategy."
